Thank you all for turning out to "Softwood's " birthday hash. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces. Your presence made my Birthday so special. To the hashers who went out of there way to bring me gifts thank you and I'm pleased no ONE brought me any Viagra. Yes " Softwood's " birthday hash will live long in the memory for a few things not least of all the turn out but also the fact that you drank the beer stop dry. This is very serious and I wish to apologise to the few late comers who missed out I'm so sorry. NEXT TIME GET THERE QUICKER. Sep's bar has long been a popular spot to hang out I guess it's his laid back demeanor. Yesterday however I did hear him getting quite flustered at one point in the morning. By the night he was back to his happy self and everything seemed to go like clock work and up to me leaving we had not burst the bar. Thanks Septimus Nimrod.
Once again visitors to Grenada were welcomed. It amazes me that people come to the Caribbean for a two week holiday and instead of resting on a palm fringed beach, taking in the occasional rum punch they chose to come hashing with us. Maybe Grenada board of tourism should take note of this fact. It is always nice to welcome visitors but yesterday we had at least three who were already hashers in their home country. One from Barbados who is here for the fishing tournament, I wonder what he made of the hills. Then we had a very nice couple from England. I hope you all enjoyed hashing Grenada style and enjoy the rest of your stay.
Things are moving at a pace for The Inter Caribbean hash in April so look out for more details very soon. The dates to remember are 25th - 29th this should be five days of real fun so plan now to be free for this period.
We have two hashes in the next 10 days. First one is next Saturday in Morne Jaloux at a place called Valley View Heights more details of that later. On Grenada's Independence day, 7th Feb, we have a moonlight hash in Tempe. We are asking everyone and I mean everyone who comes to the next two hashes to be dressed in Grenada's national colours. If you do not wear RED, GOLD AND GREEN you will receiving a free beer. Now I'm a year older it is time for a palm fringed beach and a few rum punches!! Have a great week. Softwood ON ON
