Grenada Hash House Harriers

Like a good wine we mature with age!! I get the feeling that it is a challenge among the hares to be better than the week before. Matt tried and worked very hard to make his first solo attempt at setting a hash a great success and the result was he had the blessing of the hounds. There were a couple of areas he might do differently next time but no one is perfect. After last week it was going to be hard to match those standards. What we had was two great trails in wonderful hashing country with estate roads mixed with good sections of Shiggy bits. It was those Shiggy bits that were the downfall, no pun intended, of two of our dear hashers. They took a tumble and the result a twisted ankle and bruised and shaken were the outcome. Now as we know hashing is done at your own risk but we DO care and transport was quickly arranged to retrieve one and the other limped in. Very quickly our up to date first aid kit was out and our on sight nurse was in action to treat the wounded. I hope you are both recovering well and my thanks to Lynn Kaak for your help. Now it has been a concern of mine for a while why anyone would want to run the trails twice on the same day but Matt, our hare yesterday, does that nearly every week. It was inevitable that running around twice that he would upset certain hashers and a hash name would duly follow. Ahead of yesterday's hash we got some moans on that subject and so we duly got out the Malice Chalice and he was baptised " Got The Runs " . Also to be named for an accident she had at last weeks hash was Julia Scott. She tried to get out of it by twisting her ankle but whilst we do show compassion that only lasts for a second or two and for her brown star shaped stain on her bright pink leggings she was named " Bum Blast ". Wear your names with pride. Next week we are on the south coast in Woburn at Sep's bar. The scene of a great lime last year. I urge you all to come along as I have a present for everyone. Yes it is "Softwood's" birthday hash and I have a beer for everyone. The hash will now revert back to 4pm starts so " Sex Problem" may get there on time!!!
