There are times through out the past 11 months that, on a Saturday, I have been quite worried about the hash venue for what ever reason. Usually because the hare announces that there maybe not enough beer or that the food is not what had been agreed or that he or she has run out of paper. Yesterday right up to me leaving for the Hash and even on the way there I was getting phone calls. " Softwood". "yes" I replied " Bogbrush" here I'm panicking". "Why" I said. " not sure but I always do you know that". Now with a conversation like that you can see what I mean it is a worry. f I need fear not when I, like everyone else, came over the hill and saw the venue for the first time WOW!!! This was the only word I could use to describe the picture that was laid out before us. An area big enough to hold a full game of cricket, manicured, cared for and, for the hash, one end filled with tents housing the food and bar. This was truly a hidden gem. The views were fantastic and that usually means bad news for hashers as the trails must start going down and then at the end come back up. Not good. "Bogbrush" even managed to avoid that with great trails and only one real climb. Well done "bogbrush" and thanks for a great experience. After all that the after party could not fail and it did not with some very surprised "Virgins" and a very "Happy Birthday" to Richard Paul who took drinking from the " Malice Chalice" very well even though I had to loan it to the Hospital last week. That was a after a friend of mine was admitted for a leaking bladder. Sorry Richard did I not tell you that, my fault I forgot.
Talking of panicking next week we are in the hands of Crisis!!!!! The venue is Plezence in St. Andrew. Grandad did a great hash from close to there a couple of months ago and that was a great trail so go for it Crisis.
Till next week
